Doctor and Master of Philosophy

A student in a libraryEach research degree is unique and involves working closely with at least two academic supervisors to conduct detailed research into a specific topic over three years full time for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or two years full time for a Master of Philosophy (MPhil). As well as carrying out research and writing your thesis, you will attend seminars, domestic or international conferences, and skills training workshops appropriate to your needs. Many of our candidates also publish articles during their research program and gain experience in tutoring.

An internationally recognised research training degree, the Master of Research prepares you to complete a Doctor of Philosophy in three years.
